Hi! I’m Megan and I am the ceramic artist behind Knollwood Pottery.

I have had many interests in my life, but once I tried pottery in 2019, I was hooked. After graduating with a degree in Psychology in 2019, I reevaluated what brought my life happiness and a sense of purpose and realized I had to further pursue my interest in pottery.

Since coming to that realization, I have challenged myself to earn a second degree in Ceramics and pursue a full-time career as a potter. My work has been displayed at an All Media Open Juried show at the South County Art Association in South Kingston, Rhode Island. I also had the honor of showcasing my work at the CCSU Art and Design Majors Capstone Exhibit 2023 where I received a Certificate of Excellence for my Capstone series. You can currently find some of my work for sale at the Spectrum Art Gallery and Art Store in Centerbrook, CT.

Knollwood Pottery takes its inspiration from my childhood neighborhood that provided me with memories of playing in the waves at the beach, sitting under the trees in my yard, and gazing at the beautiful CT Shoreline sunsets. I aim to channel the comfort and joy these experiences gave me into each piece I create.

As I evolve as an artist and a business owner, I look forward to testing the waters of various creative endeavors and techniques in the ceramic field. I’m truly thankful for finding this creative passion and I am in awe of how much there is to learn. Ultimately, I am grateful that I get to spend every day in the studio creating and sharing my ceramics with the world (and spending everyday with my two cats).

If you have a piece of Knollwood Pottery, please feel free to share your experience with me, as I love to see my work out and about!
